Travel information

There are two main railway stations, see map:

Porta Susa and

Porta Nuova

and an international airport:

Caselle TRN.

The airports of Milano may also be convenient:

Milano Linate LIN,

Milano Malpensa MXP, and

Milano Orio al Serio BGY (a.k.a. airport of Bergamo).

These airports are connected by bus to Milano Centrale (Milano's main railway station).

From Torino Porta Susa (railway station)

You you can walk 20 minutes to the conference location or take tram 10 in front of the station (get off after 3 stops then walk 400m). Tickets are sold in the tabac shop in the station. Tickets have to be stamped in the bus; they are valid 1 hour. A taxi costs about € 10.

From Torino Porta Nuova (railway station)

You you can walk 500m to the conference location.

You can either take the train or the bus. Trains leave at hh:19 and hh:49 and arrive after 20 minutes to Torino Dora (a minor railway station) from Torino Dora take tram 10, get off at after 9 stops at corso Stati Uniti. Train tickets cost € 3 and have to be stamped before you get in. The same ticket is also valid for public transportation in Torino, the validity is 1 hour. Tickets can be bought at the desk of the tourism office in the arrival hall or from the machine in the station. The last train is at 20h19, then you have to you have to take the bus. Tickets for the bus can be bought from the machine in the arrival hall at the airport € 5.00. The bus stops at Porta Susa and Porta Nuova. A taxi to Torino costs € 30 (+10% at night).

From Milano Centrale (railway station)

From Milano Centrale there are two trains per hour to Torino, the trip takes 1h30. Tickets in the station (€ 7-15 depending on the train). Tickets have to be stamped before getting in the train. Tickets bought in the train cost € 8 extra. All trains stops at Torino Porta Susa; most trains stop also to Torino Porta Nuova.

There is a bus to Milano Centrale. The bus leaves at hh:05 and hh:35 from 6:05 to 23:35 and the trip takes 20 minutes. Tickets in the arrival hall or in the bus € 2.50.

Three bus per hour to Milano Centrale the first at 6:30 the last at 00:15. The trip takes 40 minutes and costs € 4.50. Click here for the timetable. Three times per day 11:30-15:30-20:30 there is bus going directly to Torino Porta Nuova. The ticket costs € 16.50.
